Breast Cancer Bingo
Gail Brownmiller, Komen Oregon's Director of Community Programs and Cherie Ike, Komen's Mission Program Assistant, were honored to participate at the first Breast Cancer Bingo hosted by the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde and the Spirit Mountain Casino. Over 500 men and women - all dressed in pink came out to raise awareness about breast cancer, enjoy a complimentary meal, and to try their hand at bingo. Each participant received a gift bag with special pink bingo cards and educational material about breast cancer. All proceeds from the event will be shared among the Oregon and SW Washington Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation.
