Guidelines for Partners Who Fundraise for the Affiliate

Affiliate Sanctioned Events

1. Event must raise a minimum of $25,000 to be donated to the Oregon and SW Washington Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
2. A Business Plan must be submitted to our Affiliate at least 6 months before the event.
3. Business Plan must include details of your event, your financials goals and how you expect to meet them, a detailed budget, and an outline of your expectations from our Affiliate for your event.
4. Affiliate staff will approve Business Plan within one month after receiving it.
5. If you are approved as an Affiliate Sanctioned Event, you will need to sign a Letter of Agreement with our Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
6. You will be required to follow all rules on the use of our name and logo which will be provided in the letter of agreement.
7. Within a month before the event, you will be required to provide insurance documentation for the event as outlined by the Affiliate.

Affiliate Sanctioned Product Promotion

1. Product Promotion must raise a minimum of $5,000 to be donated to the Oregon and SW Washington Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
2. At least 6 months before the promotion, appropriate details about the product promotion must be submitted to our Affiliate, including an outline of your expectations, if any, for help from our Affiliate.
3. You will receive approval for the product promotion within a month of submitting your request.
4. If you are approved as an Affiliate Sanctioned Product Promotion, you will need to sign a Letter of Agreement with our Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for Cure.
5. You will be required to follow all rules on the use of our name and logo.
6. As needed, you will be required to provide insurance documentation as outlined by the Affiliate.

All Non-Sanctioned Events

1. You may not use our name or logo in any advertising or promotion for your event.
2. We cannot provide any advertising or promotion for your event.
3. Our Affiliate will provide you with Susan G. Komen for the Cure Affiliate Brochures, fundraising envelopes for contributions, and shower cards. (Please note that we can only provide up to 100 of each of these, and they must be requested a month in advance of when they are needed for your event.)
4. We recommend that you may want to consider helping us by getting involved as a fundraiser for our annual Race for the Cure event. Details of that annual event can be found on our website, www.komenoregon.org.
