Sail for the Cure

A big thank you to OWSA for raising over $29,000 for our Affiliate at the 2007 Sail for the Cure that was held September 23rd!

Sail for the Cure® was created by the Oregon Women’s Sailing Association (OWSA) as a way to give back to the community by combining sailing, support and encouragement in one great event. Like the fight against breast cancer, sailing is a journey filled with triumphs, challenges and changes of direction. Each requires precise teamwork. When successful, both are triumphs of empowerment and exhilaration. Everyone--novices to experts--is invited to sail on the beautiful Columbia River and learn boat-handling skills. Those without boats are welcome and will be paired with boat owners. After the sail, there will be a silent auction and a benefit dinner. All events take place at the Portland Yacht Club located at 1241 NE Marine Drive in Portland.
