Lori Kresse first began her career in the non-profit field working as Assistant Program Director for the American Cancer Society. Lori has over twelve years non-profit experience with organizations such as the American Red Cross and National Psoriasis Foundation. Lori has been serving the Affiliate as Volunteer Program Manager since 2004. She is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of Komen's volunteer program. Lori recruits volunteers for everything from general office support to the 1,000+ volunteers needed on Race day. The Affiliate prides itself on having a dedicated team of interns and volunteers who come back year after year to help out at Komen events, health fairs and more. Their dedication is not only attributed to the volunteers' commitment to the mission, but to Lori's wholehearted devotion to making sure Komen volunteers know how much the Affiliate and local community appreciates their service.

Lori has traveled to 17 countries so far and when she is not in the office you can find her either enjoying the great outdoors or planning her next travel adventure. Lori loves playing tennis, skiing, golfing and hiking with her dogs. She feels passionate to find the cures after supporting many friends through their cancer journey; Lori's mother is also a breast cancer survivor.
