Sara is proud to call the Oregon & SW Washington Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® her work home.  Sara came to Komen in December of 2004 after ten years working as an accountant in the environmental community.  She is thankful she has been able to work most of her professional life in the not for profit world.  Her fiscal management of all the generous gifts Komen receives each year is her contribution to finding the cures.

Sara graduated from Portland State University with a BS in Business Management and Accounting.  She and her husband, Doug, have two grown daughters; one who recently graduated from college and one who is still in college.  In her spare time Sara loves to be outside hiking, biking, gardening, or relaxing.  She also enjoys sewing and always has several unfinished quilting projects in progress!
