Toni Mountain

Survivor Programs Manager

Toni develops and implements programs to enhance the quality of life for breast cancer survivors.  She runs the annual Komen Survivor Celebration Luncheon and the Breast Cancer Issues™ Conference.  She also maintains and coordinates the Speakers Bureau, which provides educational outreach to local communities throughout Oregon and SW Washington.  Toni is a frequent speaker at women’s health forums across the Pacific Northwest.

Toni has served the Komen Oregon and SW Washington Affiliate as Survivor Program Manager since May 2005, but has worked with the Affiliate since 1995.  A breast cancer survivor for 29 years, Toni has served on the Affiliate Board of Directors, Education Committee, Grant Review Committee and as co-chair of the Merchandise Committee of the Komen Portland Race for the Cure® in 2003 and 2004.

 In 2002, Komen National Headquarters in conjunction with BMW, honored Toni with their “Local Hero Award”.  In April 2003, Toni was recognized as an outstanding volunteer for the Affiliate. Before assuming her current position, Toni provided counseling to women through the Breast Cancer Outreach Program at Providence St. Vincent and Providence Portland Medical Centers.  She continues to serve on the Marion County Breast Cancer Summit Planning Committee.  Toni is the former Breast Prosthesis Coordinator/Buyer for Nordstrom for the Oregon and Mountain Region

 Toni holds an M.S. in Special Education and a B.A. in Elementary Education from Portland State University.  She is married and the mother of two children.
