With a New Brand Comes a New Commitment

Earlier this year the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation evolved to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, symbolized by a new take on the ever-present pink ribbon. With the new brand comes a renewed and impassioned mission to end breast cancer forever.

The decision to change the organization’s name was the result of significant research conducted by our National headquarters that showed an opportunity to extend Komen’s reach by linking the organization’s name with its strongest asset—the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® and its series of “for the Cure” trademarks. The new Susan G. Komen for the Cure name and the new pink ribbon icon pay homage to the inspiration behind Komen’s legacy, serving as reminders that the lives of real women are at stake and infusing the issue of breast cancer with a sense of urgency and hope.

The Oregon and SW Washington Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is proud of this new brand and is committed to the impassioned promise of ending breast cancer forever.

Show your support for ending breast cancer forever by wearing a Susan G. Komen for the Cure Promise Ring.
