Issues After Breast Cancer® Conference Educates Survivors & Co-Survivors

The 9th Annual Conference held in March brought together more than 400 survivors and co-survivors, who interacted with dozens of breast cancer specialists to learn about topics ranging from coping with cancer as a young survivor or as a long-term survivor; to nutrition, bone health and exercise related to breast cancer; to employee/employer issues surrounding work leave; and new proven medical techniques. This is the largest conference of its kind on the West Coast.

Keynote speaker Dr. Wendy Harpham delivered a touching and humorous speech entitled "Happiness in a Storm: Facing Cancer and Embracing Life as a Healthy Survivor" based on her book of the same name.
The book illustrates how breast cancer survivors can find happiness despite breast cancer and, sometimes, because of it.

Transcripts from three of the conference sessions are available here.
