Community Grants

Community Grants are grants of up to $40,000 made to local non-profit organizations, government and tribal entities to address issues of breast health and cancer education, outreach to increase screening, treatment and survivor support. Priorities for community grants are based on research done for our bi-annual Community Profile.

Komen Oregon & SW Washington Affiliate grant program priorities:

1.  Culturally competent breast health information for under-served groups of women;
2.  Increased recruitment of low-income women over age 40 for first time screening services;
3.  Increased support for men and women receiving breast cancer treatment;
4.  Increased information and access to breast health services for women in rural areas; and
5.  Improved communication about breast health resources for patients and medical professionals.

Grant applicants may not request direct funding of treatment.

Our Affiliate already funds state administered screening, diagnostic services and treatment for low income women. More....
