Community Profile

The Community Profile is a local needs assessment that is conducted every two years by every Komen Affiliate. The goal of the community profile is to gather information to identify gaps in services, improve breast health services and to identify the populations most in need of breast health services.

The Profile includes a questionnaire that is sent throughout Oregon and SW Washington, analyzation of demographic data, focus groups conducted around the state and key informant interviews with selected health and legislative leaders.  All of the information is then analyzed and priorities are established for the next two years. The Board of Directors and the various programs use this data to help select grantees, create new programs and focus media attention. The Oregon and SW Washington Affiliate published the latest Community Profile in May 2006. Download a copy or email gbrownmiller@komenoregon.org for a printed copy of the 2006 Community Profile.
