Pink Ribbon Round Up in Roseburg
October 23rd, 2010 - The Douglas County Cancer Services coordinated the 11th annual Tea and Fashion Show to honor breast cancer survivors and educate the local community about breast cancer and the importance of early detection. This year’s event was very successful with over 500 guests, great local press coverage and a long list of sponsors. The theme for the event was “Pink Ribbon Round Up” with many of the attendees wearing western wear. During the fashion show, the stories of each survivor were told as they walked the runway highlighting their emotional journey. The audience was deeply moved by these stories, seeing the hope and strength of each of these survivors!
The Roseburg New Review highlighted this event and included the story of two sisters who are survivors and attended both the Portland and Eugene Race for the Cure for 2010. Please click here to read the story.
