Screening & Regional Educational Network (SCREEN) Grant
Komen Regional Grant - $60,000The purpose of the Screening & Regional Education Network grant is to provide life-saving educational messages to women throughout the full 39 county service area. The local Affiliate has designated seven regions and five target populations that it will serve with grants up to $60,000 each year for a period of five years. The Affiliate has prioritized the regions and target groups to be implemented over the next five years, as funding is available.
SCREEN is currently operating in the Mid-Willamette Region of Lane, Linn, Lincoln and Benton Counties with Samaritan Health as the regional partner, and in the Southern Region of Coos, Curry, Josephine, Douglas, and Jackson Counties with Community Cancer Center in Roseburg as the regional partner.
SCREEN is looking for volunteers who have a passion for women’s health to provide educational information in their communities by attending community events and staffing a table or giving basic presentations to community groups. No need to be a medical expert: We will provide you with the all the training you need to deliver the message that early detection saves lives.
The SCREEN program is also here to provide free presentations about breast and cervical health. We’re able to bring your church group, book club, place of employment, or any other community group the most current information about breast and cervical health.
