Emergency Financial Assistance for Breast Cancer Patients in Multnomah County

This pilot project is a partnership between the Oregon and SW Washington Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Catholic Charities. It will provide emergency financial assistance for women and men to help them remain in treatment with clean safe housing and good nutrition.
Eligibility:
- Patients must have been diagnosed on April 1, 2011 or later and be in treatment.
- They must be 18 years of age
- Meet the income guidelines of 250% of the Federal Poverty Level:
- Patients must live in Multnomah County, but they can receive services in any area.
- Other available resources in the family or community must be exhausted.
- Applications must be signed by a social worker or other healthcare professional on behalf of the applicant.
Funds may be used to pay for rent, mortgage, utilities, child care, transportation and other specific items related to cancer treatment.
