• Team members can be male and female of all ages--any combination of people registered together.
• Children age 5 and under must register for the Race but they do not pay a
registration fee. They'll receive a child’s t-shirt and bib and count towards
your team total.
• Team members do not have to participate in the same event on Race day.
Some run, some walk, some sleep-in…their choice.
• Team Registration Deadline:August 29, 2008 at 2pm. Absolutely NO exceptions!
• All team packets, t-shirts and bibs are shipped to team captains. Team
Captains MUST register with a valid shipping address (no P.O. Boxes).

• After August 29, all registrations are individual. Individuals pick up t-shirts and
bibs either at the Health Expo Sept 19-20 at the Oregon Convention Center or
at the Race on Sept. 21.

HOW TO REGISTER
Choose to register your team either online or via mail. Captains must
choose one registration method, you cannot do both.

Option 1: Online   >>Register online now!
• If you would like to set up an MP code so you can pay part or all of your team
members’ fees, call Komen at 503-552-9160. MP codes are easiest when
established BEFORE the Team Captain registers.
• Team Captains must register first. >>Click here to register as the team captain.
• Choose “Form a Team“ and follow the instructions.
• Once you “Form a Team,” the registration website will allow you to e-mail
prospective team members and invite them to join your team.
• Each team member will register at www.komenoregon.org by clicking
“Register” and “Join an Existing Team”.
• Team members register and pay individually. If you have an MP code, you will
enter it during the online registration process.
• Team registration deadline: August 29, 2008 – No exceptions. You must have
at least 10 registrants by the deadline to be an official team.

Option 2: Mail-in
• Team captains collect and send all signed registration forms, reconciliation
form, and payments for the entire team in one envelope to:
Komen Portland Race for the Cure®
PO Box 65850
Vancouver, WA 98665-0029
• Once you submit your forms, you cannot add members to your team.
• Team registration deadline: August 29, 2008 – No exceptions. You must have
at least 10 registrants by the deadline to be an official team.
• Entries postmarked after August 29, 2008 will be registered as individuals.
Individuals pickup t-shirts and bibs at the Health Expo on Sept. 19-20 at the
Oregon Convention Center or at the Race on Sept. 21.

WHAT IS AN MP CODE?
We can set your team up with an MP (Multiple Payment) code for multiple online registrations and/or
donations.  MP codes are for captains who want to prepay for 10 or more registrations (and/or
donations) so their team members can use the prepaid MP code while registering online (instead of personal credit card information).
Options are one payment for:
- All team registrations
- A set number of team registrations
- A portion of each team member’s registration fee
- A donation on behalf of each team member’s registration
To receive your MP code, call the Komen Race Headquaters: 503-552-9160 before registering.

FUNDRAISING:  Imagine the Impact.
One in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime and we need your team’s help to beat these odds.  Fighting the disease takes resources and financial support. The Komen Race for the Cure® is one of the few races where fundraising is not mandatory. But imagine the impact you can make on your local community.  We encourage all teams to join together and fundraise for the 2008 Race.  Help support local screening and education. Help fund the research that will find the cures. Join us in our mission and goal of raising $3 million this year!

SLEEP IN FOR THE CURE® Join us in your dreams.
Having trouble getting people out of bed to join your Race team? Not a problem, please encourage them to register for Sleep In for the Cure®. Sleep In allows people to be part of your team without showing up for the actual race – they get to sleep in. Participants who register for Sleep In will also receive an official Race t-shirt and commemorative pin.
