Advocacy

Committee Member: A volunteer in this position will work within a committee structure to analyze strategies and develop action plans to promote public funding and policy for breast cancer health. A year long commitment and the ability to attend quarterly meetings are required. A knowledge of the legislative structure and an interest in public policy is desired.

Champion for the Cure:  Through the Komen Champions for the Cure™ program, more than 75,000 Champion activists work to advocate for issues such as the Mammography Quality Standards Act reauthorization, signing petitions and submitting letters to Congress through an e-mail alert system.
